meet our founder

Elliot Epstein

Elliot brings a rare combination of operator experience and strategic advisory, having built and led People functions in high-growth healthcare organizations and advised dozens of early- and growth-stage companies.

Prior to founding Luminary, Elliot held leadership roles at Galileo Health and Redesign Health, where he supported company-building efforts across multiple healthcare ventures. Earlier in his career, he led talent and organizational initiatives at Success Academy Charter Schools and Teach For America.

Elliot is also a trained improviser. The influence shows up in how he works: adaptable, fully present, at ease with ambiguity, and quick to find the levity in a hard conversation.

He lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his husband and two lively daughters.
